How catalogue records are documented.

Identify the object, record its exact versions and show the supporting evidence.

Catalogue scope

Cards, sealed products and accessories.

Documented Magic cards, tokens, sealed products, accessories and event items from across Magic. A product family can be visible before its exact language, finish or packaging variants have been resolved.

Only documented exact versions can be added to a collection project. An unspecified language or an internal catalogue identifier does not establish a physical version.

Evidence labels

What each source supports.

01Publisher statement

Official, stated

A publisher or manufacturer explicitly states the feature, distribution or rate.

02Documented identity

Exact version

The record identifies a physical printing or product configuration using documented language, finish and packaging details.

03Assumptions disclosed

Modelled estimate

A calculation is labelled as an estimate when it depends on assumptions such as equal collation or independent slots.

04Evidence incomplete

Not stated

A missing manufacturer code, language, configuration or individual rate remains unspecified.

Inside each record

Identity, versions and sources stay together.

Manufacturer SKU and archive catalogue ID are separate fields. A missing manufacturer SKU is shown as not stated.

Catalogue references

Sources attached to the records they support.

Publisher material, database records, manufacturer catalogues and historical archives supply different kinds of evidence.

Marketplace estimates are separate from catalogue evidence. Price estimates apply only to the exact printing and finish identified by the available data. A missing or unsupported price remains unavailable and is excluded from totals. One language or finish is never substituted for another. Condition, shipping, tax, stock and market movements can change the amount actually paid. Where price history is available, the record shows its source and dates. If a visitor buys through a disclosed affiliate link, the archive may earn a commission at no extra cost to the visitor.
